Title: identifies the main topic of the text
Headings: identify topics throughout the text
Stylized Text: in this article an initial capitalized letter to signal the beginning of the article
Photos: show exactly what something referred to looks like
Captions: help clarify a picture or a photo
Bold words: signal an important word found in the dictionary
Glossary: defines words found in the text
